Report:
This was our first post-COVID trip with South Shore. The 15 kids had never been out with ICO and we could tell they enjoyed it. We drove to Deception Pass and after walking the bridge we decided that after a long drive we'd stay there at the park and eat lunch at the beach. We sent the kids to walk to West Beach (0.9 miles downhill) and then 2 leaders drove the vans down to the beach to set up lunch. We played at the beach a bit and then headed to the ferry. The boat ride was a big hit.

8:30a - Arrive at the school
9:30a - Leave
11:00a - Arrive at Deception Pass
12:00p - Walk to West Beach & Eat Lunch
1:30p - Drive to Ferry in Clinton
3:05 - Caught Ferry
5p - Arrive back at the school after a couple bathroom breaks :)
Suggestions:
We could have emphasized Leave No Trace principles earlier and the windy day made it especially difficult to keep wrappers contained! Also -- remind the kids to use the restrooms on the ferry.
