Report:
We got a bit of a late start leaving the school, but made it to the trail head with plenty of time for our hike as well as playing and exploring. The hike went well and the weather was clear and dry, the previous week had been very wet so the trail had a few muddy spots. We stopped for lunch in a clearing just past the falls right before the end of the trail and junction with the John Wayne Trail. This was a great spot for lunch as well as games before turning around and heading back to the car. We also had an opportunity to check out the river and explore before getting back into the vans. One van had a non-working turn signal, which we were refunded the rental cost for. Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable day.
